Random word association #10: Guitar

Monkey & Cat - the love that dare not speak its name

From somewhere else on the internet:

"Tondalayo, a 45-year-old Sumatran orangutan, and T.J., a stray tabby cat, became an inseparable duo after a zoo employee introduced them late last year.

Stephanie Willard, Education Director at Zoo World in Panama City Beach, said Tondalayo was depressed since losing her mate two years ago.

When the sweet-natured orange cat wandered into Willard's life, the solution became clear.

Tondalayo & T.J. play together, cuddle and sleep together each night. They have been together constantly for more than a month."

Planet of the Apes - caused by people keeping pet monkeys

From somewhere on the internet:

"Monkeys, like all exotic animals, I certainly do not recommend as a pet,” said Johnny Binder from the Cameron Park Zoo.

Experts say no matter how docile a monkey may be when it’s a baby, once the animal reaches maturity they will start to battle humans for dominance."

Would you eat your candy out of this...??

Simian scarebots

"Consider his plan to build a simian scare- bot: "I got this robot monkey head at Sharper Image and I wanted to do something real cool with it," he said. So Torrone plans to mount the head on top of a Roomba [a robotic vaccuum cleaner: manbitesmonkey] and write software to control the contraption.

"The Roomba will go around and when it gets to its destination, the monkey head starts to scream," he said."

No escape

You can't even outrun this one...

Something amazing! (not pictured)

As it managed to stop a 5-piece military band and a couple of monkeys in their tracks, whatever was happening off picture to the right must have been amazing...

And as soon as it's finished, I'll find a photo

"The gorilla is the old Weippe High School mascot, and its image graced the water tower for more than four decades. But four years ago the water tower was painted solid white.

And last year Weippe residents and city leaders grappled for months over whether to repaint the beast. Gorilla art advocates won the debate, launching a $1,500 fund-raising campaign to pay for the paint job.

Organizer Bev Bailey says nearly all the money has been collected. And the painting will start as soon as weather permits."

Malaysian bigfoot fever continues unabated

"This group of young girls had a scare when a Bigfoot-like creature pounced on them at Pop Kaki Lima in Plaza Angsana, Johor Baru, on Sunday."
